Estonia is a country that shares history with Eastern Europe and with its northern neighbours. This state belongs to the Baltic region as well as having links to Scandinavia (for example, Estonian language is very similar to Finish). This defines the country’s current political and economic position. According to the World Bank this country is 16th in an index of economic freedom. Estonia developed close relations with EU countries and secure its own identity. Therefore educational traditions in this country have deep roots. For instance, the University of Tartu that belongs to any list of best universities in the world was established in 1632.
Estonian universities offer various Majors – from business administration, economics, IT to more specialized subjects for this region. This variety of topics allows international students to explore the experience that Estonia gained, as a nation, over the years.
The important factor is an opportunity to study in English. This attracts international students from Western and Eastern Europe, the USA and Canada.
